Worked from Chunky pieces of Redwood. The armrests and leg frame are 70mm wide. The armchairs can be used as standalone chairs, or in conjunction with the trays to make a love seat, sometimes called a conversation seat. The trays are removable, or can be screwed permanently to the armchairs.

Technical Details

Pressure Treated Redwood. 6 Allen key bolts with barrel bolts fix the bench together. The central table and storage tray can be screwed to armchairs if required.

Maintenance

Redwood will fade to a pleasing silver tone in natural light. It is prefectly acceptable to leave it like this. You can stain your bench any colour using a water based wood furniture stain. (Follow manufacturers instructions). It is not uncommon, in Redwood, for small splits or shakes to occur in the timber in quick drying weather conditions. These will normally go back when humidity rises. This is nature at work and is perfectly normal. It does not affect the strength and durability of your furniture.
